it is pixel day we have the brand new pixels I have to tell you right now they just showed up like last minute and it was a problem they were stuck at the border who cares why am I telling you that right now let's go ahead and jump in and see what these new pixels are all about. 

the exciting part here is I'm probably gonna switch to this phone I'm just gonna say it I've been a pixel person pixel peeper pixel I just even before they were pixels with the nexus and stuff. I always want to see what google's up to on the stock hardware the vanilla android experience and this is the latest one so I'm gonna pop a sim in oh.

 I should also mention real quick later case stuff just arrived later case stuff super thin cases for these pixels the link's gonna be down in the description of this video and we'll pop those on and check them out as well all right so this is uh oh this is like some are that soap I think that's so.

kind of reminiscent of a Rubik's cube or something but smells very fresh oh look at this h2go 18 ounce bottle okay cool what is this I mean it smells very fresh I'll make it oh, what is this chocolate? the google team is thrilled to have you play a partner launching pixel 6.

we're looking forward to joining a big reveal and the inside out pixel 6 is the first all google phone interesting so I'm saying this is google the true the way google intended what does that mean I don't know the main event whoa look at that remember pop-up books pixel 6 pros the pixel camera system includes a pro-level telephoto lens smooth display intelligently adjusts up to 120 hertz and with the google tensor processor.

it's the smartest fastest pixel yet. it looks like I have a case and a 6 pro cloudy white I can't say I've ever heard of cloudy white before nothing else that's just a box right 6.7-inch display 128 GB of yes storage and no knife necessary to open it up we have these two tiny little pulls one and two that is cloudy white is the way I would describe this that's very accurate I like it so glass and polished and kind of a premium feel to it straight away.

the very slender band around the outside where you grab a very distinctive look to we've seen so many different camera bulges in the past this is the. The first camera visor it's looking like cyclops it's looking like daft punk you've seen all the memes already also in the package google type c cable no power brick that's just the way the world is right now.

they do give you an adapter though USB c to a little bit of paperwork and of course a sim tool it's like a tiny little circle that is google's tiny little sim tool the device is 6.7 inches it's not enormous I guess in my hand obviously, there are some even bigger phones out there there will be a smaller version as well for people that may prefer although this is going to be your flagship off of the flagships.

the camera setup up here one-two looks at that periscope style lens zoom capable of course your flash is over there as well I'm gonna peel how about a peel the front-facing camera in the center area here symmetrical this is interesting along the top another polished section but it almost well it's white and it kind of has is it just paint or is it a different the material feels kind of like when they said oh we have a ceramic phone I don't know that that's what it's made out of but anyway you have a white segment inside of the band presumably for communications and radios and such your the sim tray is going to go to this location here.

volume up and down and your power switch and then on the bottom USB type-c port for charging looks like your speakers are there as well my main feedback immediately here is that Google has definitely gone upmarket like they really want your iPhone money that's what's happening over here keep in mind, this is a preliminary unboxing so it's like no comparisons and such I'm gonna go ahead and set it up real quick all right.

 so here is the case this is a pretty standard thing other than adapting to this very unusual cutout the visor style cutout but otherwise, this is a typical clear case google logo is still there I don't know what is getting ready it still says it'll take a few minutes.

 I don't know if the software is final because of course, the documentation says no analysis or evaluation of software I'm going to show you the home screen obviously but limitations are leading up to the final embargo and we may very well see software updates along that ride of course. 

it's the cyber edition so we have the kevlar, in this case, wrapping around the entire camera section on this particular device that's all going to be touching the table because of the angle you're going to place it on so by installing In this case, what's going to happen is you're going to actually cover that entire section up so now it's resting on the kevlar instead of the glass.

 where your cameras are and such and it gives it a kind of cool look like that's very cyber hence the name cyber edition so you can actually order right now I'll put the link in the description but imagine that you can order up your case so it's ready to go when you get your new device.

 if you're gonna get the pixel six or six pros this new color called coffee is dropping as well and you can tell from the image here's what it's gonna look like it's one of our favorites in the studio here that we've done yet it turned out really well so check for availability on this color also for certain devices including iPhones and stuff like that I agree to start it's in-display obviously I can already tell the refresh rate is quick even just through the setup all done.

home here we go okay display yeah so I'm gonna say on the topic display yeah I'm only supposed to show you the home screen at this point this is what the home screen looks like of course the spec sheet is publicly available as well so you know exactly what's going on with that but I guess I think this app drawer counts as the home screen, 

I'm allowed to show you that right now too I'm pumped guys look it's not that many pixel phones we're waiting it's a new pixel flagship proper flagship thing because they've been playing around with the marketing and the target audience for their devices is it budget-minded are they going to do a premium device are they gonna do both and in this case I'm really getting that flagship to feel holding on to it, of course, this is a preliminary thing so we're not going into depth here I'm not trying a bunch of stuff on it I am excited about the cameras because we all know what the pixel software specifically google's software specifically has done with images on the Pixel phones in the past so during the keynote they're going over all types of details on that but I can't show you very much right now this is a quick unboxing.

gaming experience

now I want to get into some native android gaming with the pixel 6 pros first up Minecraft 24 chunks we're at 120 fps remember we have that 120-hertz display and it'll run this game like this really well I did see some dips every once in a while but overall. 

The performance is amazing and I expected it to be moving over to asphalt 9 we're at 60 fps in the settings and it's running this amazingly I mean this is a very well optimized game it's been on the market for a while and I really had no doubt that it wouldn't run this game at full speed so let's take it up a little bit to something a bit harder to run and that's going to be the call of duty mobile with this one here we're at very high settings frame rate is set to max and we're at a very steady 60. 

now I know for sure that they have enabled 90 hertz with this game with some devices and hopefully, this will get whitelisted down the road, because we do have that 120-hertz display I see no reason why this wouldn't run at 90 all day and the final native android game I wanted to test here was gentian impact I am running into an audio issue I'm getting a lot of crackling here and that's kind of given with new territory, after all, this is a new armed CPU and hopefully,

 the developers can get this fixed up soon all right so moving over to my favorite part of these videos and one of the big reasons I'm super interested in this new google tensor CPU emulation first up we have PSP using from the google play store Vulcan back in 8x resolution with mortal unchained not a super hard game to emulate but going up to 8x on this is pretty impressive and we are wasting resources now because really setting this at about three is the way to go moving over to something a bit harder to emulate for PSP we have chains of Olympus and with this one here I couldn't quite do 8x it was dropping down to around 52 but at 5x it's working amazingly we're at 60 Vulcan back in and when it comes to pop on the google pixel 6 or the 6 pros you're not going to have any issues as long as the game is compatible with the emulator it's gonna play it just fine I was really surprised by the 3ds emulation performance here was at 2x the resolution I'm using Citra and with

Citrix uses OpenGL as long as you enable it and if you have a decent GPU you should be able to get some really good performance like you to see here now going from 1x to 2x does put a strain on that GPU but with this 20 core mallee it's doing an amazing job here's Yoshi's island again we're getting the great performance I know it's a bit hard to see that fps counter up in the top left-hand corner and unfortunately, I couldn't get the built-in fps counter to work with this phone and this emulator here was just showing 120 it was just taking the refresh rate of the screen but the built-in fps counter for

 Citra is stating we're at 59 60 fps and it's playing just fine it's looking great Gamecube was another one that worked really well I'm using the dolphin emulator this is not the one from the google play store this is one from the official dolphin website.

 it's the development version was at 720p Vulcan back in f0gx which is a harder one to emulate especially on an arm device that is running at full speed fps is in the top right-hand corner getting great performance here with Gamecube and if you're familiar with dolphins this also does Wii and with Wii, 

we're getting basically the same performance now with some games you might want to swap over to OpenGL, that's just kind of the way it is but for both of these games that I tested here Vulcan at 720p ran at full speed no problem I did try 1080 with f-zero but it was just a little too hard on this GPU and CPU combo but going from native to 720p does make a difference especially on these smaller screens and the final emulator.

 I wanted to test at least for this video was ps2 I'm using daemon ps2 pro from the google play store lots of controversies behind this but it is the best working ps2 emulator for android as of making this video I've actually been really surprised by the development of this emulator and as you can see with tony hawk pro skater 3 we're running at 60 we're running a ps2 game at 60 on the pixel 6 pro taking up just a bit to the god of war 2 this is a bit different because it is using a lot of hacks in the background.

to get this to run at 60. you see a lot of frames get going on but it's still pretty impressive to see this game running on an arm device like this

what's up guys will pixel 6 survive our water test the design of the device is very important it is directly related to the water-resistance ratings.

 so we are ready to plunge this device underwater and it's gonna stay plunged for more than 10 minutes so we are going to move the device around so that the pressure exerted by the water is evenly spread by doing this we are making sure that the device is getting water in all corners all sides of its frame here we have more bubbles forming on top of the device.

look at all these small bubbles I hope this device survived our water-resistance test as you can see there is a lot of bubbles form on top of the cameras and near the connection between the back glass and the frame of the device the design of this device is very exceptional.

 it does not look like any other smartphone on the market it has a long rectangular camera bump when you have this device on top of a table it does not move around like the iPhone or the Samsung high-end smartphones right now we are around 13 minutes 13 and 30 seconds and the device is still working we still have the chronometer but it has stopped may be due to a ghost touch so at this point, 

we are going to remove the device and try to see if the touch screen is still working at first, the touchscreen was not responding we had to press multiple times on the device to make sure that the chronometer can restart again and At that point, we knew that the screen was still working and the device is kind of safe from the manufacturer this device has an IP rating of 68 so after this small test I think this device is still all right and it will not get any water the damage this is a great mid-range device it is pretty much the king of all the mid-range device at this moment thank you guys for watching subscribing like and
